When Security Essen opens its doors in September 2026, it will be expanded for the first time to include the new EURO DEFENCE EXPO, making Messe Essen a unique European hub for security and defence solutions. From 22 to 25 September 2026, leading national and international exhibitors, high-calibre trade visitors and decision-makers from politics, public authorities, the military and industry will come together here.
For decades, Security Essen has been synonymous with innovation and excellence in the field of civil security. The EURO DEFENCE EXPO is taking place for the first time this year and complements this portfolio with military and defence-related technologies and strategies.
The focus is on pressing issues for the future such as
- the protection of critical infrastructure,
- cybersecurity,
- integrated security concepts and many more.
Important note: A Ticket for EUDEX also entitles you to visit Security Essen, but not vice versa.

Security Essen is the world’s largest trade fair for security and fire protection technology and is one of the industry’s most important events in the field of civil security.
It covers the entire spectrum of the security market, whilst specifically driving innovation and addressing current issues such as cyber security and modern access solutions. Furthermore, it focuses on civil protection, civil defence and the protection of highly sensitive areas.
What to expect at our stand:
As Security 2024 proved to be a real highlight trade fair, we will of course be there again this year as exhibitors. At our stand F12 in Hall 7, our experts will provide you with insights into our comprehensive security concepts.
EURO DEFENCE EXPO (EUDEX)
EUDEX is opening its doors for the first time: a new trade fair bringing together the security and defence sectors at both national and European level.
EUDEX focuses on the latest technologies and strategies across all capability areas. Particular emphasis is placed on the topics of cyber security, unmanned systems and artificial intelligence. In addition to the exhibition area in Halls 3 and 4, the event also has access to the outdoor area, which provides space for live demonstrations.
